Your tutor has at least 3-5 years of tutoring experience and/or TAship experience and/or a senior student - mostly UBC master's and P.hD students). All tutors have achieved either an A or A+ in subjects taught with excellent English and communication.
Why $55/hr? Don't you think that's a bit pricey?
Major tutoring companies like Tutor Doctor and Oxford Tutoring charge anywhere between $60-70/hr - and for elementary and high school level tutoring. We offer our students premium university-level support at an affordable rate and peace of mind that we want your satisfaction or your session is on us.
What safety measures are taken during Covid?
Pre-Covid, sessions were held on UBC campus. Most sessions are now held online via zoom. If you prefer to see your tutor in person then Covid safety protocols are highly encouraged.
Do I pay for the session in advance and what method of payment can I use?
Sessions are booked when they're paid for via credit card. E-transfers are accepted when buying a package of 5 or more sessions which we happily offer at a discounted rate.
How am I connected with my tutor after I book?
You will receive an email with your tutor's email address and contact number and your tutor will email you to ask for questions, concepts and problems that you would like to review during your session. This ensures that your sessions are efficient and highly effective.
